It looks like it could be a fantastic game, but I harbor a lot of doubt as to whether they will be able to implement everything they hope to, and implement it well. I have a horrible feeling this one is not going to live up to the hype, but am crossing my fingers. As of now, I suppose I still am placing all my MMO eggs into the Warhammer Online basket.

I don't really harbor doubts about a game team implementing everything, NO MMO game team has been able to implement everything they set out to.
They have spent 5 years designing the world with no autofill, 193 square miles, Mature rated, Howard-based content, its definitely worth a look regardless of how many things are implemented.
Hopefully it will be more polished for those of us who have waited so long!

No, you're definitely right, all I mean is that I hope that if they are unable to live up to their expectations, that the game is not stale as a result. So many MMO's promise X content, and when said content inevitably gets cut, the game basically adds nothing new or unique as far as a play experience. I'm just saying I hope there is still enough unique, well-implemented content to make this game a great one.
The features as listed are awfully promising. Anything that can be a viable alternative to WoW at this point is fantastic.

I wholeheartedly agree with you, and an ADULT alternative at that! There are brothels, Topless ladies, and lots of blood and decapitations, these are all things you will never see in WOW.
Just be prepared if due to game balancing certain features don't make it into the final build. It always happens and it's nothing to lose sleep over.

Yeah, for sure, no MMO ever delivers all it promises at release. It will be interesting to see what the playerbase is like for this one, with the more adult themes. Man, if AoC AND Warhammer can deliver, it's going to be a great year.

Hopefully we can trust the validating company to validate the ages of people playing!
They released what the Collector's edition will have in it, it's $40 MORE than the regular version, most CE's are 10-20$ more so there better be some nice benefits to some of this stuff:
AoC looks good so far, I just hope the finished product isn't WoW, same with Warhammer. No one will ever beat WoW by copying them. I tried LOTRO and it's......WoW
Blizzard has the market and in order for someone to beat them, it's going to have to be a revolutionary concept in gameplay.
I hear people talking about how good the graphics are in AoC and how they will make a huge difference to people searching for a new MMO. Then look at WoW's graphics and how outdated they are but that still hasn't slowed down their subscription numbers. Last I read, they are at 10 million subscribers world wide.
