About This Page: This is a discussion on Fan Sale Items on Ebay within the LetsGoKings.com forums, at Los Angeles Kings Hockey Fan Forum. Not my auction. However, someone might want to pick this bad boy up.

Ugg, why are there authenticity patches on the outside? Doesn't that lower the value for hard core collector?
I saw these the other day and was wondering the same thing. Never seen that before. I check game used jerseys on EBay all the time, mainly just for my own amusement, and I've never even really seen patches that are there for the purpose of selling after the fact. Usually it comes with a signed letter from the team's GM to state it's authenticity. Of course, all game used jerseys should have their team's respective stamp on the inner rear hem as well.

Blame the Kings for having the authenticity patch on the outside. They at first believed it was better to have it on the outside. That was after they went into market research. Of course any idiot that collects knows that No collector wants that damn patch on the outside of the jersey.

Too expensive - wait until they are all traded and they go for a song.
Picked up Game Used Belanger, Cowan, Miller, for 100-125 each. If I sell them in 10 years, I easily double my money which ads up to about 10-11% per year, which is double what your savings account is.
THAT is a good deal.
599 is not - you will NOT get that kind of return in the future. Gretzky stuff that sold for 1,000 bucks when he was with the Oilers isn't fetching 1,000 bucks these days.
