Sounds about right. Just like how Fedor sucked when he signed with M-1!

Which fighter who is currently NOT under contract with Zuffa would you want signed. Let's take Fedor out the the equation since he'd be #1 on everyone's list.
Robin Black (but only because I know him. It's this guy who fronts a moderately successful glam rock band in Toronto and has put that on hold to try and get an MMA contract. Among those he trained with are GSP and Sam Stout).

I agree with Lawler. Actually surprised that he isn't since he's a Hughes guy. Another guy I'd like to see is Arona. Not sure why, but I've always liked him. Barnett wouldn't be too bad either.
I guess that Ortiz / Evans rematch is never going to happen. But this would be a pretty good test for Machida. Tito is nowhere near the fighter he used to be, but he can still put on a good brawl.

This would be a good fight. Even though Tito didn't look great in his last fight he's still a big strong dude who poses a tough matchup for Machida. One way I think of beating Machida is getting him in the clinch and mauling him. Tito is still pretty strong in the clinch and if he gets on top of Machida, Lyoto might have a hard tie.
I'll wait for a few more of the regulars to post up their thoughts. Then I'll post up mine, I have one guy per division with a few honorable mentions.
I'd like Lindland and Filho brought into the UFC
Heavy: Barnett or Hunt (if I can't have Fedor)
Nick Diaz, I rag on the kid, but he's got more heart than most TUF'ers
Sakarai?
I'd like to see Ken somehow take this so that he can go out on a bit of high note, but my gut says Frank mauls him.
Not that excited about this because Frank should be fighting fights that mean something. Cung Le or Robbie Lawler, those fights make sense. I have no desire to see him fight Ken. Also the fight will probably be a PPV? No way I'm buying that.

Agreed. The guy talks a big game, but he's not interested in proving anything anymore. Guess he could be fighting a guy six inches taller and 100lbs heavier though, eh? ; )
I'm only excited about the novelty of it. You're totally right, he should be fighting meaningful fights, but I guess this is more important to him right now. Buying the PPV? Hell no! But I will have no problem downloading it.

The strained relationship between the Ultimate Fighting Championship and its heavyweight champion Randy Couture has taken another bad turn -- directly into a Las Vegas courtroom.
Lawyers for Zuffa, LLC, the UFC's parent company, on Monday filed suit in Clark County District Court, alleging chiefly that Couture's comments about the UFC and its senior management caused the business irreparable damage and that he is in breach of the contract he signed with the company in December 2006.
"We are alleging numerous intentional torts, which have caused Zuffa and the UFC significant harm," attorney Donald J. Campbell said. "Based upon that harm we are seeking to address these matters before a court of law."
The lawsuit seeks damages in excess of $10,000 and states that the amount of both compensatory and punitive damages would be proven at trial. It also seeks an injunction restraining Couture from participating in any way in any promotion competing against the UFC.
