About This Page: This is a discussion on Other Sports within the LetsGoKings.com forums, at Los Angeles Kings Hockey Fan Forum. Anybody going besides me???? I will give a report tomorrow evening...
So the Home Depot is very nice and cozy, Galaxy fans are very upbeat and family orientated. That being said, Landon Donovan should not play as a striker, they're going to need someone with an aeriel attack once Prince Beckham comes to town. Sorry, the game was pretty uneventful (Rangers won 1-0) and I'm too tired to post a game summary.
That being said, I think I'm going to get Season Seats for next season if anyone wants to share/split them with me please let me know!
I'll try to post some pictures on Monday when I get to my home computer...

Get Goat tickets. They're already better than the Gals and their stupid name isn't as bad as the whoring the Galaxy have turned to.

The problem is that I can't stand Chivas Guadalajara, so I can no way support the USA version. I do agree though, Chivas USA has a really good team. The more I think about the Galaxy, the more dissappointed I get that they have decided to bring in one marketable player and not build around the current squad. This version of Galaxy has no ****ing forward!!! NONE.

Actually the plan is to have a speedy striker (Robbie Findley) and a target forward (Nate Jaqua). The problem for the Galaxy at this moment is that the target forward is useless. Donovan does not have the skill from set pieces nor can he cross the ball well. Cobi would be ideal for this if he was 10 years younger.
Enter David Beckham. A remarkable talent with the dead ball and the ability to distribute deadly crosses, all of a sudden Jaqua is not useless. As a target forward his headers are his best weapon and it's a great weapon with the right pairing (See: Zidane, Zinedine/Trezeguet, David) The target technique spreads the defense and frees up your speedster to do his thing (See: Henry, Thierry)
Then the Galaxy has a young defense, Marshall was good, but he's lost a bit of his game, and he's never been the best at tutoring the youths.
Enter Abel Xavier. Widely considered a very knowledgeable footballer. A guy very willing to take pupils under his wing. And an exceptionally fit guy for his age. This guy is very likely going to be a manager after retirement so he's the perfect guy to lead the Galaxy defense.
So, even though the Galaxy did sign a marketable player, he also is a piece of the puzzle.
EDIT: Donovan would not be a striker once Beckham gets here.
Harden---Marshall---Xavier---Albright
---Harmes---Beckham---Martino----- (you can sub in Cobi and Sturgis here)
--------------Donovan------------------
--------Findley------Jaqua------------
That would be Yallop's "3-3-4". Not the best plan, but it's what he's been trying to do. Although there's talk of him doing a "2-4-4" which puts the midfielders in a sort of diamond. The " " are there cause his formations aren't true 3-3-4s or 2-4-4s
Examples are obviously extreme, but there are other examples, these are just the most widely known
