I am what I am... an educated degenerate gambler. I know the odds of every game in Vegas like the back of my hand, know the house always wins, and still play these games.
Degenerate gamblers are what they are... I'm just trying to give them a fighting chance.
Like knowing perfect strategy in blackjack, without card-counting you will still lose long run... but you are only giving the house a 2% edge playing wisely instead of playing like a moron.
Similarly, buying the Daily Race Form, doing research on the numbers, and knowing how to maximize profits on races you do get right and minimize losses on races you get wrong will help you last a lot longer then betting on names and numbers and colors.
For some, it can be a fun hobby.
