Default The HELL of the North

The 2008 edition will be held over a total of 259.5 km, from Compiegne to the north of Paris to Roubaix just outside of Lille.
So this weekend the bike race that is like a short track NASCAR race but across the Arenburg forest will air on VS on Sunday, April 13.
If you never seen a bike race on TV , you need to watch this on.
The forcast is for rain, and when you get cobblestones wet they become very slippery and one can speculate that there will be some spectular crashes.
However weather predictions for Sunday could make the world famous one-day classic, known ominously as the 'Hell of the North,' an even less inviting affair for some.

Theo de Rooy: "It's sxxt this race! You're working like an animal,
you don't have time to pxxs, you wet your pants. You're riding in mud
like this, you're slipping, it's a piece of sxxt..."

Interviewer: "Willl you ever ride it again?"

Theo de Rooy: "Sure, it's the most beautiful
race in the world!"

Enough said

Similar to what used to be, the Paris-Bordeaux race.

my dad used to dream about racing in it.

coming from a cycling father and fan mother, this race was more exciting in my house than le tour.

Paris to Roubaix or Paris Roubaix is all i have known it as.

But I think it's the same race, but The Hell of the North has been what it has been called by the TV and papers.
