About This Page: This is a discussion on Other Sports within the LetsGoKings.com forums, at Los Angeles Kings Hockey Fan Forum. Since there's so little PGA talk on this board, I figured we could have one thread for PGA Tour info for 2007.
The FedEx Cup is new to the PGA
Tiger and his wife are expecting a child. Wonder what that will do to Tiger's focus this year?
His dad died, he took some time off, stumbled on his return in his first tournament, then kicked everyone's ass the rest of the year.
I don't think having a kid will affect him too much.
BTW, he won't be playing in the MBC.
Here's the field for the MBC:
Stephen Ames......J.J. Henry.........Corey Pavin
Stuart Appleby....Tim Herron.........Carl Pettersson
Eric Axley........J.B. Holmes........John Rollins
Aaron Baddeley....Trevor Immelman....Rory Sabbatini
Chad Campbell.....Davis Love III.....Adam Scott
K.J. Choi.........Will Mackenzie.....John Senden
Chris Couch.......Jeff Maggert.......Vijay Singh
Ben Curtis........Troy Matteson......David Toms
Luke Donald.......Arron Oberholser...D.J. Trahan
Joe Durant........Geoff Ogilvy.......Kirk Triplett
Jim Furyk.........Rod Pampling.......Brett Wetterich
.....................................Dean Wilson

I think it's just travel and other obligations. With the new FedEx Cup points and stuff, they're weighted more for the WGC events and the Majors and the tournaments down the stretch. I think he's going to have a very different schedule this year than most, and Riviera is sort of the odd one out right now. He wants to make SURE he's ready for next week and didn't want to push himself by coming back from Dubai and rushing things.

Hogan Bracket:
I had DiMarco and Immelman advancing, but I thought Ernie would play Bart Bryant in the next round... guess those were both wrong.
Snead Bracket:
I've called it so far... Olazabal, Ogilvy, Fasth, Goosen advance.
Player Bracket:
Called Cink, Harrington, and Vijay, but I thought Karlsson would beat Ames. Turns out Ames annihilated him instead...
Jones Bracket:
Called Donald and Stenson, but I thought Pettersson would beat K.J. Choi. Wrong on that one. Looks like Baddeley will win like I thought. He's been playing well lately.
Well, I got destroyed today with my picks. I didn't predict a single match correctly in the Player bracket.
Tomorrow, Chad Campbell plays David Toms and Stephen Ames plays Stewart Cink. I thought Harrington would advance all the way to the finals, but he didn't play very well today. Micheel advanced again, and Fasth played great and beat Goosen. They'll play the only two people I picked correctly on that side of the bracket, Paul Casey and Geoff Ogilvy.
On the other side, my picks were a bit better. Tiger's going to play O'Hern (and destroy him) tomorrow. Baddeley will play Stenson in the only match I had both contestants picked for. Justin Rose upset Phil today and will play Chuck Howell, who walked over Sergio (I thought he'd walk over Clarke). Mr. funny-pants Poulter advanced to play Immelman, who I thought would beat DiMarco.
Saturday Tiger could have some trouble with Stenson or Baddeley, but I still think he'll advance and probably have to play Chuck in the semis. I think Ogilvy will come out of the other side, but that's a kind of strange, wide open bracket right now with Furyk, Love, Vijay, Harrington, Scott, Goosen all out of the picture.
