I'll start, I won last season so I draft last. I figure all the backs will be gone, if Peyton is still available I'll go for him and then pick a receiver (I get two in a row). Who should I go for if Manning has already been picked?

My strategy: get the first pick, take LT, sit back and collect my kudos at the end of the season. Oh, and to pick TJ Houszyomamma, simply so i can say "CHAMPIONSHIP!"
I agree, we need a fantasy football thread. Since this one has been started already I'll post my question here.
My draft is next weekend. We have ten teams and we play in a keeper league where we are allowed to keep two players but they have to be from different positions. I'm keeping Steve Smith as a WR but I'm torn between which RB to keep. I have Laurence Maroney and Willis McGahee. I think McGahee is gonna have a good year playing behind Baltimore's line. Maroney plays in a good offense and catches the ball, and now has the role all to himself. I'm a bit worried he hasn't played yet this preseason but he's supposed to be ready for the start of the season. He has a lot of up side, but there are a lot of weapons in that offense.
I have the 3rd pick so I could probably end up with both of them anyways since most of the top backs are gone. So any advice or suggestions on who to keep would be appreciated. Thanks.
Maroney all the way. Baltimore's offense is just that, offensive to all who watch it.
I've been leaning towards Maroney all summer but the fact he hasn't seen any action and coming off of that surgery worries me. McGahee looked good in his first game and bad last night. I think my decision is going to go down to the last moment before we draft.

Dont forget to that New England can spread the offense around while Baltimore will certainly favor a ground attack/ball control offense. Tough call though. I would probably go with McGahee.

Maroney will be fine. And definately is the one to keep. Mcgahee most likely will still be there at 3.
I was talking to the guy with the first pick and he was thinking of taking McGahee if I didn't keep him. Backs that are going to be in the draft and ranked high are Willie Parker, Maurice Jones Drew, Clinton Portis, Ronnie Brown, Edgerrin James, Thomas Jones, and Cedric Benson. I would think that Parker and Jones Drew would go before McGahee, but who knows. Either way I think I'll probably end up with both again.
I am not sold on MJD this year......he is going way too high for my liking. I just think there is no way he can match last year so anything else will be a disappointment.
I don't see another mass TD year......let someone else take him too high
