How any of his teammates can defend him is completely repulsive to me. If only a portion of what he has been accused of is true it marks him as a soulless human being. And so many of the sports radio outlets are questioning..."well maybe he grew up with it and doesn't understand how it could be wrong..." Really??? So someone who can listen to an animal scream in pain WHILE HE IS REPEATEDLY SLAMMING THEM INTO THE GROUND just can't realize what he is doing is wrong???? For the love of Jesus this is so truly sick that it is beyond words. He is using the Vick incident and showing us that we are barely better than Roman Times.
The average NFL player lives 50 years or so. The average American lives 78 years. We fans celebrate those bone crunching hits other humans do to each other. We cheer those things. Do we not? How can now say that we have no responsibility?
Now bring this back to Vick. Once we start taking care of those who put their lives in danger for our what? entertainment! and expecting that they can and will be taken care of, the sadistic people will be vetted out and controlled.
What is the difference between Mike Ditka calling out hurt players and what Michael Vick does with dogs. Not much. Both have control over others and not much empathy.
If you are a fan of football, be part of the solution, tell the football owners that you expect them to take care of their players. It is the right thing to do.
hey f#cktard do you realize the difference between grown men having the choice to say no and animals being forced/tortured into death fights. Please never have children. I'm sorry, i have nothing but sympathy for the players who are suffering...but when they were done with their careers were they electrocuted,slammed to the ground,or in the most humane killings shot in the head. Your post actually sickened me that someone could be so horribly confused regarding "choice" vs. "torture". Please stick to posting on issues are not important because at least then i can just laugh at how confused you are. I don't seem to recall Ditka drowning, hanging or electrocuting players that underperformed or couldn't tackle well, even if they were hurt.
