The suspended Atlanta Falcons quarterback could have been sentenced up to five years by District Judge Henry E. Hudson. Vick was dressed in a black-and-white striped prison suit and apologized to the court and his family.
Hudson responded, "You need to apologize to the millions of young people who looked up to you."
"Yes, sir," Vick said.
Vick acknowledged he used "poor judgment" and added, "I'm willing to deal with the consequences and accept responsibility for my actions."

The other 4 guys sentenced for this all received anywhere from 18 - 23 months. Because Vick was the financier I think he got off light. The NFL will not miss him.

Honestly, I'm just glad that a high-profile citizen finally sees some real time for committing a real crime. Seems like the Kings win more often than the prosecutors for these cases.

MV killed dogs so hes getting time in jail for that, but how is that any different then hunting deer or birds or anything???? Shouldnt hunters get time in jail to? they just had today on the tv some 8 year old kid that killed a moose? hows that any different?

You're comparing apples and coconuts...
Dogs are domesticated animals. Every hunter I know does something with their kill, not just go out, shoot it and then leave it there to die. Generally hunted prey are used for food, clothing, etc. And lastly, how many hunters do you know that breed the animals and then kill off the ones who don't measure up to what they're looking for?
There are a TON of other issues with your argument, but I'll leave those for others to bring up.

so its ok to kill animals just as long as u dont breed them? what about famers that breed cows and kill them?
