I think Ravens at 10/1 is an excellent value bet...
I also think that the Raiders are not the worst team in the league by far anymore, and that spread against them is unfair. Not that it matters since they aren't going anywhere; but with a strong defense and an improved offense they could be a 6 or 7 win team this year.

I know that you are a Raiders fan but that is even optimistic even for a fan. I do agree with on the Baltimore tip. I would also put New Orleans and Pittsburgh on that list as fair shots. But you know it's going to come down to Indy, New England and San Diego for the AFC and maybe Chicago for the NFC.

It is optimistic but not that unrealistic.
Adding Rhodes to compliment Jordan was a smart move. Porter / Curry / Williams / Gabriel is not a terrible wide receiving core.
Needless to say my assumption is based on the offensive line having improved (not personel-wise, but the younger players themselves) as well as Culpepper being legitimately healthy.
The defense is outstanding.
Detroit comes to Oakland
Cleveland comes to Oakland
Houston comes to Oakland
Oakland to Miami, Tennessee, Minnesota, Green Bay, Jacksonville.
Lose to Bears, lose to Colts, lose to Chargers twice, lose to Broncos twice.
Splitting with the Chiefs and winning 5 of the above games is not that crazy.
Actually on value I also like the Eagles (who really jump out at you by being listed twice there!) at 25/1. The NFC is such a crap shoot and thats the team that has been up there/so close for years now. Even if McNabb goes down again, people are very high on this Kolb kid and Feeley is a capible backup as well.
Are they going to win it all, no, but value wise 25/1 is solid. It wasn't "supposed" to be the Colts' year last year.

Who said it wasn't supposed to be the Colt's year? They were the favorite in Vegas from the start.
I'll be putting money on Philly, Frisco & San Diego.
Edit: As for the Raiders this year, I see 4 maybe 5 wins. They'll probably go win-less in the west.

.
Rhodes is a nice player, he's also out for the first 4 games. Also I've never been sold on Jordan. The new zone blocking scheme should help, but I'm not holding my breath.
I think Curry is due for a breakout season, I think he has more upside that Porter. Hopefully Williams shows consistency and at the very least develops into a good red zone threat.
Gabriel, well he was cut a few days ago so that kinda hurts your credibility. One huge thing is a TE that can actually catch. Zach Miller will be an asset for this squad.

The defense is solid to good. I don't think it's outstanding. Everyone pimps the Raiders pass defense. I believe they led the league in pass defense. Although the squad has a good secondary with Aso, Washington as well as great pass rushers in Burgess and Sapp, the main reason for this stellar pass defense is teams ran all over us so they didn't need to pass.
The squad still lacks a bonafide run stuffing defensive tackle. Terrell Sands isn't a top notch plugger. Gerald Warren could help but I wouldn't call him a premier pickup. I like our linebackers, Morrison and Howard are players but both are young.
We'll see, they're certainly not the worst team in the league, but I would still say they are bottom 3.
