Default Super Bowl Party Festivities

This will be the 12th year of my annual Super Bowl Weekend Extravaganza. It starts Friday with a poker tournament at the local Indian Casino, Golf Tournament on Saturday, Game on Sunday, and another golf tournament on Monday.

We also have a many other games revolving around the big game to make it more interesting (typical squares, propositions question sheet, etc) but I am looking for any new ideas.

One we have done the past three or four years is everybody puts in $10 and gets ten - $1 poker chips. Throughout the game you can yell out a wager for anyone to accept. They range from the next play will be a pass to the next set of commercials will have a Budweiser add in them. The more creative the better. Then if you lose you throw a chip to the winner. It's great having chips flying around the room and wagers going on all over the place. It helps make a dud of a game fun.

Anybody else have any other ideas or games that have worked out well?

I also do the poker chip game but there are pretty much no rules for mine. Bet on whatever you want even if it isn't game related. I've bet on "the first guy to appear on the next commercial will be white," "2:1 odds that Sarah throws up before the 3rd qtr ends," "$5 says couple X gets in at least 2 fights by half time." Mix in booze and you really can bet on lots of fun stuff.

Same goes for our version. It's pretty much up to each person's imagination......like I said, it makes the dullest game interesting................especially since the party starts at about 1pm so by game time everyone is primed..........

One that I've done in the past is the "sack bag"... you take a paper grocery bag, have those who want to participate sign their name on a $1 bill and throw it in the bag. Once there is a QB sack, someone draws a bill from the bag and that person wins the contents. Along with their winnings, they also get the job of going around from person to person collecting for the next sack.

I'm running the marathon in Huntington Beach on Sunday morning. The beer at the finish tastes great! I guess this is becoming my Super Bowl tradition, this will be my 3rd year for this one.

Damn, Sunday morning I will be recovering from the golf tournament on Saturday and starting the Super Bowl Chili and various other food stuffs for the game.

I'll drink a beer to your successful finish though.........

Just found out we're Going to a party on Sunday. Don't really care about the game. I do liek the people we're going to be partying with so I'm sure it will be a blast.

Not caring about the game is the best reason to have/go to a Super Bowl Party. No matter what it's a good time and if the game is close or has your team even better......
