Pretty soon, Urban Meyer will figure out that Tebow getting the snap and running right into the middle of the line isn't going to work against legit defenses.
I mean it was fine last year in certain circumstances like third and short, etc. But for 60 minutes, it just isn't going to work.

Yea, I agree, USC hasn't really done anything to make them drop to #2. You could make the argument that they shouldn't have been #1 in the first place but for right now them being #1 is fine.

The fact of the matter is that USC is far far from the team they used to be.
The other fact is that even with such a huge dropoff, nobody is better.
This bowl season is going to be interesting. I have a feeling there will be an undefeated LSU and a lot of one loss teams that deserve to be there.

The point is it is always debateable as to who should be #1, but for the voters that were borderline but chose USC should have no problem voting for LSU this time. USC is a legit #1 team, but then again, they didn't play like it this week. Either way you can't go wrong picking either team.
A very intersting thing i caught was the scoreboard on yahoo. It shows LSU as the #1 ranked team and USC as #2.

I think LSU is the best in the country and will beat Florida at home, but if they don't, we will be looking at USC #1 Cal #2... that would certainly be something.
