Not too many big games. Start of conference play for most. South Carolina @ LSU Best game according to rankings. I'm fairly confident in LSU blowing out the Gamecocks though.

Default College Football Saturday (Week 4)

Not too many big games. Start of conference play for most.

South Carolina @ LSU

Best game according to rankings. I'm fairly confident in LSU blowing out the Gamecocks though.

Penn State @ Michigan

Does Michigan ever have to go on the road? This schedule was supposed to be really good for them this year. That hasn't worked out obviously. I hope they get smoked again.

Georgia @ Alabama

Stafford going into Alabama to face a really tough Crimson Tide defense. I'll be keeping my eye on this one.

listening to Jim Rome yesterday (for the first time in many months), and Terry Bowden was on and said he will look for a new coaching job next season.

hmmm.... A Bowden at Michigan??? UCLA??? FSU to take over for his father??? Let the rumors fly..

I was under the impression that Jimbo Fisher made the lateral move(O-Coordinator of LSU to O-Coordinator FSU) because he was pretty much promised the head coaches job when father Bowden retired.

We'll see, I'm sure Terry will be a hot name.

Don't really like many of the lines this week.

I do like

Oregon(-17) @ Stanford.

I think Oregon blows Stanford away, at least 3 TDs.

That first part is probably very true.

But I am sure Bowden's name will be associated with every vacancy out there, from Alcorn St. to Michigan.

Arkansas -6.5 at home against Kentucky.

Not a whole lot out there this week.

Lets see, I was 4-2 going into last week. I won USC, SDSU, Florida. Lost BYU, OK St. Arkansas pushed (though I lost money in another bet taking them straight up). Puts me at 7-4 on the year against the spread. I had a 5 team teaser and only needed BYU to cover .5 to win it. Bastards.

EDIT: I don't like the Houston bet anymore. Lubbick is 13-3 all time when he has 2 weeks to prepare for a game.

One can only hope this happens. I like KD as a person but I never thought I would see a reincarnation of Terry Donahue. We need a better coach hands down. Anyone else see a comparison to Steve Lavin here?

You mean rising up to play against the bigger opponents and losing to garbage every year?

It's more than that. How many first round draft picks did Lavin waste? Dorrell might be a terrible coach, but he's not nearly as bad as Lavin.

Yeah, at least Lavin could recruit.
