Anyone watching the FIBA Tournament of the Americas from Vegas? I've watched the begining of both USA games so far, now that we have Kidd, Kobe and Redd added to the team we look like we're dominant again. It will be interesting to see us play the better teams later in the tournament, we've never lost a game in this one.
Kobe has lost some weight, I think they said 15 pounds or so.
I'm going to wait and see until the olympics to call this team the new dream team.
By the looks of things, this is a really good basketball team and perhaps, in my opinion, second to the original team in 92. Hopefully Kobe and Kidd can lead this team to gold, but of course, we have to get out of the FIBA tournament first.

Imagine how much more Kobe will be pissed/frustrated when the NBA camp/season starts...Going from playing with high caliber All-stars to the bozos that are on the Lakers!!! Bwaha!!!

Latest beatdowns were Puerto Rico and Uruguay the past two nights, we play Argentina tonight. Interesting thing here is that Argentina has done what we were doing, showed up without some of their best players. I understand Ginobli and a couple other of their main guys aren't playing. Just like Puerto Rico, they annoyed the **** out of me in the 2004 Olympics when they beat us, I want to see a handy thrashing of this team.
It's nice to see Lebron James play with so many other great players, it actually enhances his game rather than limits it. He's a terrific passer, so having guys like Kobe and Carmello cutting to the hoop and having Dwight Howard inside is just fun to watch. Redd and Miller add the outside shooting we had been lacking in the international game. I don't typically like Coach K but I think he's doing a great job so far.
and the team we are playing with right now is our B team.
I think Manu Ginobli is a great player but I don't think he is going to make a huge difference against this USA team.
Ditto Nolcioni, Delfino, Herrmann, and of course the great Pepe Sanchez(loved him when he was at Temple).
