4+ a year for an energy guy seems like a bit much.
This is a league where guys like Wally Szczerbiak, Erick Dampier, Kwame Brown, Theo Ratliff, Raef LaFrentz and Chris Webber made between 9 and 16 million last year.

Just because other teams are giving out stupid money doesn't really mean the Lakers should.
Tons of energy but very little production. His offensive game is basically limited to put back dunks. He had a back to the basket game in college but that has been non-existent in the pros.
Defensively is capable, he has pretty good size and is a pretty good athlete. A block and half per game with the minutes he got isn't bad at all. He'll compete and be active but his energy gets him in trouble because he'll foul so much.
Basically if they are signing him as insurance in case a deal with Biedrins doesn't get done I think it's a huge downgrade. If they bring back Biedrins, Turiaf is a nice energy big man off the bench.
