The Lakers haven't played since Tuesday, have heard all about the Denver Nuggets since Wednesday, and now actually face them today in Game 1 of the playoffs' first round.
So how long do you think it'll take the Lakers?
Well if Pau Gasol keeps playing the way he just did and Denver keeps losing ther cool, i think we will be fine.
Kobe by the way, played like crap. He was good for a lot of crap talking which led to a lot of frustration to Kenyon Martin and JR Smith. You know you're in trouble when you're the best offensive team but can't capitalize on Kobe's lack of scoring. Laker's defense stink but the Nuggets stink more. Lakers in 5.
Kobe needs better shot selection fot the next game. I was excited at the idea of the Lakers winning even with Kobe having an off night but realistically, the team needs him to shoot better in order to go past the second round. I know it's just the first game so i know that the Kobe of old will come out and show some of his heroics. Honestly, the player of the game for me was Lamar. He played a crazy game as he controlled both ends of the board. Great to know that he's playing the way he is.
If only Lamar could just consistently play like that. The guy wouldn't need to be shaving retarded stars on his head, he could be a perennial all star.

I'd rather have a cold Kobe now (with them winning) than a hot one. They'll need him the next round and the next and so forth...
Well, that fallaciously assumes that him playing well early would cause him to not play well later.

This is one of those team matchups he should dominate against. If K-Mart is guarding Kobe and Camby is on Gasol, who can touch Lamar?

You're right about him being be to score but i think the upside to Lamar's game was on the rebounding department. He was outhustling everyone, Lakers and Nuggets to the ball.
