About This Page: This is a discussion on Basketball within the LetsGoKings.com forums, at Los Angeles Kings Hockey Fan Forum. Damn you Shane Battier.
Very unimpressive showing from the purple and gold last night.
Battier? it was Kwame who scored the Game winning shot for Houston...Unreal!!!
Kwame actually got the assist on that play, Luke put it in.

Odom in a car crash? Holy ****, what won't go wrong for the Lakers lately?
I'm so dissapointed with all of this drama lately. It's not even about the basketball anymore, and the team is in a state of limbo. The sad thing is they gave the opener away. What was it, 50% FT (more than 20 FT's missed?). Inexcusable. Houston is garbage and should've been pounded.
It's also pretty bad when the players displaying the most effort are a 33-year old PG who's dealing with serious personal family issues, and superstar who doesn't even want to be there. Worst opening night effort since '03 against the Spurs.
Huh? Are you retarded? Houston is a damn good team. Certainly better than the Lakers.
If the Lakers don't get a couple lucky steals at the end there it's not even close.

Lakers Free Throws: 27-45, 60%.
18 missed free-throws. That's embarassing. 8 more made would've been reasonable with 10 misses (still bad), and more than enough to win the game. Kobe missed more than usual, Kwame's were pathetic as usual, Walton and Mihm missed chipped in to. And yes, Houston has a new coach, no identity, and played like it. Lakers shoot a reasonable percentage and they win.
