I missed most of the Dallas/NO series this year. Was Avery Johnson as badly out coached these playoffs as he was last year by Don Nelson and the Warriors?

I wouldn't use the term out coached for Avery Johnson.

Ever since the Jason Kidd trade, the Mavs couldn't beat a team over .500 for a long while. I think they ended the season after the Kidd trade against .500 teams or better at like... 2-12 or whatever the statistics are.

So bascially, that crappy Mavs team had no chance in hell against New Orleans anyway.

I just like to think that the Lakers had something to do with the Suns and Mavs both getting the boot early in the 1st round because of their desperate trades. =)

A first round exit after the '06 collapse after leading 2-0 in the finals = fired

At least, that's what I figure Mark Cuban is thinking. That guy's got the patience of a house fly in the middle of summer hovering over a pile of dung.
