ESPNsoccernet - UEFA Champions League - Terry and Drogba fit for Moscow

I have no doubt both of these guys will play. Terry is a tough SOB and this is the biggest club game of his entire life. No way does he sit this one out. He could be affected though, he'll give it a go, but might have to be subbed early.

I don't think Drogba's injury is that serious. He'll play as well.

I'm sure you are talking about as a personality. That is true, the mind games Sir Alex and Mourinho would be playing would make for an interesting build up.

Where do you think he'll end up next year? I've heard a ton of rumors, but mostly Milan.

Unless I am missing a major reason he would not, is Mourinho not a automatic candidate for the Barcelona job? Or is Guardiola the actual rather than the temporary replacement?

Otherwise Mourinho is Inter bound, barring Man city throwing money and transfer money at him.

I'm pretty sure it is Guardiola's show for at least next year.

I don't think Mourinho would go to Manchester City, he will go to a big club, even if they throw tons of money at him.

Would Inter really fire Mancini? Even if they win Seria A, maybe if they blow it I can see it, but it would be hard to can a guy after he wins the league.

I haven't heard much on Ancelotti but Milan are coming off a terrible season. I would imagine that he is on the hot seat.

For some bizarre reason Ancelottis job is safe(confirmed), although with Berlusconi you never know. I have to say I never realised mancini had rescinded his desire to leave after this season. Is Schusters job at Real Madrid safe?

http://soccernet.espn.go.com/news/st...525085&cc=5739

Its in here about Ancelotti staying.

ESPNsoccernet - Europe - Ronaldinho agrees general terms with AC Milan

Interesting, but since then Berlusconi has left the club.

ESPNsoccernet - Europe - Berlusconi quits role as AC Milan president

New guy might want a new manager. Anyways, it would probably be silly to fire Ancelotti, he's had a lot of success since he's taken over. One bad season shouldn't outweigh that.

Well I know its a bit of sabre rattling but is Joe Cole correct?

BBC SPORT | Football | My Club | Chelsea | Messi better than Ronaldo - Cole

"Chelsea's Joe Cole says Barcelona's Lionel Messi is ahead of Manchester United star Cristiano Ronaldo as the best player in the world.

Cole said Messi's form in Barca's Champions League semi-final defeat by United settled the debate.

"Ronaldo's been fantastic but in the semi-final Messi showed he's the top man," said Cole, who will face Ronaldo in next week's Champions League final"

I thought Messi played better than Ronaldo over 2 legs in the Champions League, but what exactly did he do. He had a bunch of good runs that didn't have any result. He is good at running at defenders but there is no way he is a better finisher than Ronaldo at this point in their careers.

Last time I checked Messi hasn't approached 40 goals in a season.

Very excellent point. Ronaldo is a much better finisher, but Messi is a absolute joy to watch dribble and exceeds Maradona IMHO.

To answer questions from above posts:

Schuster is SAFE. He's like 17 points ahead of Barcelona, there is no question of him leaving.

Mourinho has stated he wants to coach in Spain, Italy or even Portugal again. Someone has to throw MEGABUCKS at him for him to return to the Premier League again. That said I hope he ends up at Valencia, although Sevilla may be a possible destination.

I think Mancini and Ancelotti are safe for another year.

It's about 99% sure that Deco and Eto'o are out of Barcelona next year. Whoever lands Eto'o is going to have to pay $$$$, but I love Eto'o and he is a great striker. I will miss him.

I can go on with rumors, it's amazing what happens in european football for 4 months.

Both guys are still useful if not really good players. I think Barca will be going through a major overhaul though just to change the culture and makeup of the squad.

I can see Deco playing in Italy, playing a role like Pirlo has a deep lying playmaker. I don't think his game would translate well to England unless he played for Arsenal. Eto'o I think has been slowed down by his knee injuries but can still be a good player, but probably not one you'd want leading your line.

When Deco first arrived in Barcelona the dude was awesome and hungry for wins and goals. I don't exactly what has happened to him, but he's really slow now and doesn't put himself in scoring opportunities anymore. The Pirlo role would be good for him because I just don't see him running and gunning like he used to, on top of that he's a turnover machine. Rumors have him going to Inter Milan and I tend to agree.

You are underestimating Eto'o, he would thrive under a different system. The last few weeks at Barcelona are not indicative of what he's capable of, and against Man Utd Ferdinand did an AMAZING job in locking him down. I would LOVE to see Eto'o at Arsenal, but Tottenham is pushing for him real hard. REAL HARD.

Lastly, Brazil/Sevilla RB Dani Alves is pretty much a done deal for Barca making Zambrotta expendable. I think Zambrotta is a great player although his biggest blunder was that assist to Scholes... I see him going to AC Milan.

I can't wait for the Euros!
