Porto were a very technical side, and a bunch of diving bitches. On the other hand, Liverpool were terrible. Gerrard was probably the worst player on the pitch, and I don't think his broken toe is fully healed.
Chelsea 1-1 Rosenberg
Chelsea scored their first goal in 3 matches but obviously still lacked bite up front without Drogba and Lampard. I was channel surfing and only saw bits and pieces of the match, but Rosenberg looked good! They took it to Chelsea and have some very skilled players on their team.
and if you wanna argue, talk when an EPL team does something in the champions league...
How about making it to the finals for the PAST THREE YEARS and winning it once, opposed to your series A team making it twice and winning it once. And had that team been treated like they should, they would have never been in the finals last year, ala Juventus. So what do you want to argue about?
Oh, lets argue that EPL and Series A teams have both won it 11 times? So, how is Series A superior to EPL in the Champions League again? Looks tied to me...
Chelski look pretty weak without Lampard and Drogba. Sheva saved their ass, although he still sucks. Who is their other striker?
They can play Pizzarro up front. Kalou is kind of a tweener, winger/striker. If Ballack plays he can play as a really advanced midfielder, almost a second striker. Surely they are really hurt without Drogba.

(Note: Dodgers, Braves and Cardinals fans everywhere are nodding and saying, "Yup ... been there, done that.")

For a team with $$$ like Chelsea, those options don't really put fear into the minds of opponents...

Not really, but Pizzaro is a pretty damn good player. And what if Sheva finds his Milan form? I don't think anybody predicted him having such a tough time in England.
Xabi Alonso and Daniel Agger will be out 6-8 weeks with broken foots.
Gerrard chose not to rest his broken toe during Euro qualifiers, had pain killers injected before the Portsmouth match and has looked the shadow of the player that played against Aston Villa and Chelsea. Does he actually think people aren't going to notice the difference?
I didn't think he'd get the axe even after they lose to United this weekend. Considering the injuries and the opponent they should have waited until after that game.
