Regardless of what happend against Roma last year, they are still a good side and a game @ Roma is always a tough one.
Chelsea can make an argument too. Valencia always puts out a good squad. Schalke had a good showing in the cup of losers and German teams are always pretty good in knockout tourneys. But of course they get a minnow in Rosenborg.
I think Barca has the toughest draw. OL, reigning french champs for like 6 years in a row, Stuttgart, german champs, and Rangers who are at the top of the SPL...
Luckily we have Henry, Dos Santos, & Bojan, cuz Eto'o is out for a minimum of 8 weeks with another knee injury....

Yea, that seems like the so called group of death, but honestly the group of death isn't that strong this year.
Rangers are at the top of the SPL but what does that really mean? I wouldn't call them a real tough team.
Lyon have always peformed very well in the CL, but there's been such a mass exodus of talent, it has to catch up with them sooner or later no?
Look at the names they've lost, Essien, Diarra, Malouda, Tiago, Abidal, etc.
They still have a lot of talent, Juninho Pernambucano(one of the most underrated mids in the world), Govou, Fred, they even have Baros now. But this Lyon team is not as strong as the ones they have fielded in the last few years.
Sure I'll agree it is the toughest draw, but it's not as tough as it seems in my mind.

(Note: Dodgers, Braves and Cardinals fans everywhere are nodding and saying, "Yup ... been there, done that.")

Pretty spot on analysis ASU. You'd think by the talent on paper at Barcelona that they would breeze through everybody, unfortunately Rijkaard cannot always get his boys to perform to their best level... Sad to say, but this is the same **** the Galacticos went through...

At the rate he's going he should, but now Dos Santos is pulling a Messi and is playing out of his mind.
btw: Messi >>>>> Ronaldinho
Oh yeah, Everton are supposedly in talks for Riquelme...
The little of what I saw of Dos Santos during preseason was ****in impressive.
I hope the hours go by faster so Everton misses out on Riquelme. The good thing is he does have his share of liabilities. If only Riquelme had Mascherano's work ethic...

Riquelme is a headcase plain and simple. The problems with a lot of these playmakers (like Ronaldinho, etc.) is that they feel like they don't need to run anymore once they reach a certain level of success. Players like Gerrard and Kaka are amazing players to have on your team because no matter how succesfull they become they will still give it all on the pitch for their team.
