Barcelona and Real Madrid to finish 1 and 2 in that order. Too much money splashed out and too many sick additions to already shamelessly stacked squads.
Valencia, Seville, Villareal, and Atletico Madrid have good players but no where enough depth to compete.
Discuss.
I don't know where to post this but, Antonio Puerta has died today.
Without Gerrard, Carragher, Torres, Alonso, Pennant, and Steven Finnan in the starting line up, Liverpool trounced Toulouse 4-0 in today's Champions League qualifier with plenty of free flowing attacks led by Benayoun's silky smooth playmaking skills.
This season's Liverpool squad(when healthy) is so deep it's sick.

Very true, but Benitez also broke the bank to get that kind of depth. I must admit I will root for Liverpool to win the league, but I will never ever root for them in the champions league.

He didn't break the bank to get Reina, Carragher, Finnan, Hyppia, Riise, Arbeloa, Agger, Scott Carson, Sissoko, Alonso, Gerrard, Mascherano(loan), Pennant, Peter Crouch, Kuyt, Benayoun, and Voronin.
In comparison to the current title contending teams and Champions League contender from Serie A, La Liga, EPL, the cost of Liverpool's current squad is by far the lowest.
It's going to be tough for anyone rooting against Liverpool to win the Champions League because this competition is Benitez's bread and butter, especially with a squad deep enough to challenge on all fronts.
