I will be on business in the middle of this month to San Diego and have a chance to go to a game at Petco. Any ideas on best method to get tickets and where in the stadium I should try to sit?? Thanks. I am trying to stay away from the TicketMaster demon but will use them if I have to.

The Padres WILL win the NL WEST...............in 2012.........just walk up to the front gate and buy a pair behind homplate, upper deck..........Toyota Terrace isn't that great..........almost every seat in the house is good though..GO PADRES!

The two times I have gone to PetCo Park I have bought them straight from the Padres website... I know you dont want to do the Ticketmaster thing But I still got nice seats and had a great time. You can also try Stubhub.
The first time I went sat up stairs above home plate great seats could see everything
Second time sat on the field level 1st baseside, Love how the seats are curved so you can see home plate. I have heard it doesnt matter where you sit you can see it all
Why not? I sat there this last weekend, the game was fine from there. Be aware that there is a lot of distraction if you get too close to centerfield with their park and kids...but the stadium is nice.
Too bad the padres stink top to bottom, nobody worth watching. hopefully they play someone good.

lots of seats with restricted views at petco. seems like they were short on space so the decks are stacked on top of each other which blocks sight lines. if you are sitting on a lower deck make sure it's a forward row.
