Certainly hasn't been a horse but he was relatively healthy. I stand corrected, but I still don't want him back.
Yea, I mean that's fair, I thought his option was a lock to be picked up before the season, but now I'm not so sure.
My thing is we have so many holes to fill that 6 million and change isn't a bad price to gamble on Penny getting healthy. If we miss out on CC, the next best options are AJ Burnett and Ben Sheets. Talented pitchers in their own right, but they have durability concerns as well.
McDonald is an internal option but I'd ideally like to see him get a stint in the bullpen like Billingsley got.
