About This Page: This is a discussion on Baseball within the LetsGoKings.com forums, at Los Angeles Kings Hockey Fan Forum. Scott Boras on ESPN.710 right now...
ESPN.Com says that it contains the options but you may be right about the waiver with the NTC. I'm sure we'll know tonight between Baseball Tonight and good ol' Vin.
I did read that. Interesting that they are already saying that the Dodgers will not pick them up. Why would Ned decide right at this moment that they will not pick up the options?

That's pretty much it. The Dodgers have a lot of holes to fill next year:
SS
2B
SP
3B
RP
Some of those holes can be filled with internal options but not all of them. Bringing back Manny would be nice, but probably isn't practical.

Ethier is in the top20 amungst the league leaders....Blake right behind him.
Once again Im no baseball expert but-why dont more batters try and work the count deep? It kills me to watch guys hacking at the first pitch or two and pop it up or foul out or hit the lazy fly.

Scott Boras on ESPN RADIO said the options were removed with the trade.

I generally agree with you. It's just about walking the fine line between patience and complacency.
Granted, you can pop up or foul out or hit the lazy fly late in the count too. (Or you can be Andruw Jones, lead the team in P/PA, and strike out all the time.)<
