Any reason in particular? Kind of a random guy to be hoping to win a spot.

Anything is possible, but McDonald seems like an extreme longshot. Schmidt/Loaiza/Kuo/Stults/Kershaw are probably all ahead of him on the depth chart. If he makes the team it probably means we have a rash of injuries. Hopefully that doesn't happen!
