Gotta love that Garciappara is sitting in the midst of a hot streak.

Kershaw was solid in Jackonsville since his demotion. Here's a report from BA's hot list.

Quote:
No. 11
CLAYTON KERSHAW, LHP DODGERS
Team: Double-A Jacksonville (Southern)
Age: 20
Why he's here: 2-0, 0.00, 12 IP, 3 H, 0 R, 2 BB, 8 SO
The Scoop: Kershaw's eight big league starts were marred by too many walks and high pitch counts, but he's slowed the game back down in his return to the SL. In three starts for Jacksonville since being optioned down, he's struck out just 12 in 18 innings—but in giving up three runs on seven hits in that span, he's been just as untouchable. Best of all, Kershaw has issued just four walks in those three starts, as he refines his pitch efficiency. And with 100 combined innings already this season, he's approaching the career-high 122 he logged last season.

Josh Rawitch says that LaRoche is going to play this whole series. And that when Kershaw comes back he is most likely back for the rest of the season.

I'd rather he be benched after a game in which he went hitless but still, it's best to keep him healthy... (unhurt).

With Ethier and Kemp solidified in the outfield (Barring a trade), it looks like we'll end up with the most overpaid non-DH pinch hitter in baseball - whoever it is.
Considering Joe Torre's love for vets I bet Ethier goes back to playing every now and then.

This series is a night game, night game, day game. I'd rather Nomar sit the day game after night game. So with him sitting out tonight, does he play Wed's day game?

I'm guessing LaRoche gets 2 starts and third and one for the old man at second. With the way Colorado hit the ball over the weekend the Dodgers are going to need all the offense they can get. Hopefully LaRoche is as good as most of you think he is...

Good to see Kershaw back. So soon enough it's

Bills
Lowe
Kuroda
Kershaw
Penny

With Chan Ho, Stults, Schmidt (???) doing what? Figure Stults goes back down, Ho to the pen, Schmidt to the pen.

And everyone here will bitch about Pierre playing. It doesn't matter if he hits .400 with an OPS of 3.5. He still sucks.

The Dodgers should just collect the insurance money on Schmidt.

And Penny, well, I'm scratching my head with him.
