Like TBrown, I'm really afraid of Ned doing something like this.
Quote:
SprungOnSports (Long Island): With Saito out for 6 weeks, do you think the Dodgers would trade a big prospect like Kemp or LaRoche for Marte/Wilson or Street/Crosby?
SportsNation Keith Law: (1:45 PM ET ) I doubt it - more likely they'll slide Broxton into the closer role.
Paddy (St. Louis, MO): Sorry about the DH stir, Keith. I like your chats, but not a fan of the DH obviously (my opinion is if you can only hit, then golf). I think one of the more exciting things about the game today is the amount of young players with so many tools. If you're GM of the Dodgers what do you do about Furcal's situation? One year deal with incentives? or gamble on Hu?
SportsNation Keith Law: (2:01 PM ET ) I'd gamble on Hu or DeJesus, who was pretty impressive on Sunday. DeJesus is Hu with a little more bat. Plus Hu has this recurring eye problem that is going to make any team reluctant to commit to him as the full-time SS.
I have no problem with any Dodger (sans Martin) being traded as long as Ned gets equal or better value in return. Since he hasn't demonstrated the ability to do that I'd rather he just sit on his hands.

Seriously. His best trade was what...Ethier for Bradley? That's pretty sad. Bradley may have been a headcase (maybe still is), but dude can rake. He's the all-star, after all.
