I prefer not to read too much into a rehabilitation start in AAA. I imagine he and the club are looking at it in a light very similar to a Spring Training start, where he works on certain things and doesn't necessarily go full-speed or with every pitch in his repertoir.
Sure more goes into a successful rehab start than just plain results. Velocity, command, etc. are all factors. But getting touched up for home runs in AAA isn't exactly the best sign.

He was bound for a slip up eventually. Dude's been on a tear the last 2 months. Unfortunately this offense is still pathetic and can't overcome 4 runs unless Atlanta starts dropping balls.

man, yesterday, i said to myself -- self, Billingsley is pitching tomorrow, watch that game instead.
i missed a damn near perfect game by Kuroda to see Chad get roughed up and pitch a downer for the first time in months... man.
ugh... 6-0.

The only thing memorable about tonight's game was the fan who ran onto center field and break-danced.

McCourt flatly denies it was his decision alone that nixed it.
Quote:
I was told this morning, by a source completely separate from the ones from which I got the earlier story, that Matt Kemp WAS involved in the aborted trade for Sabathia, Blake and Carroll, and that either Jon Meloan or James McDonald also was involved. My source wasn't sure which one. Can't imagine Sabathia would have been much better than Kuroda was last night. If Kuroda can keep this up -- he has now thrown 16 scoreless in two starts since coming off the DL -- that's a pretty big presence in the rotation.
Wow.... I'm amazed that Hudson made it to a 3-0 count to Kemp. Must've been thrown behind him in order for him to have not swung at 'em.
