Just checked out the box score, Elbert allowed the homerun but he did strikeout the side!
He flashed a really nasty breaking pitch.
Elbert could be a weapon for us out of the pen down the stretch. It has been really overworked lately and he could be a boost. Nice to see Wade back as well.
The front office spent part of Sunday trying to make a waiver deal for a middle infielder. The Giants earlier rejected overtures for Omar Vizquel, but another candidate could be Tadahito Iguchi, cut loose by the Padres on Sunday.

Actually it is worse, Omar Vizquel might be the worst offensive player in baseball right now.
They is literally no upside with even playing him over Berroa at this point.
Even Hu deserves a shot over some guy like Vizquel.
I am completely baffled as to why the Dodgers would be willing to spend even $250,000(or whatever the pro-rated salary is for Vizquel) but wouldn't be willing to spend that extra money to sign a top draft pick like Alex White or Kyle Blair.
4.5 back about to face Haren and Webb. Right when I'm ready to move on to the NFL and college football the Dodgers pull me back in. Mother ****ers better come through and win this division.
