Game was electric at times. Manny probably got the loudest ovation I have ever heard, and Torre is really getting on my nerves with his pitching decisions. Kershaw should have pitched the 7th.
Manny will go to whichever team offers him the most money. Hopefully it's not LA.

LOL, I've got Angels fans in my office telling me Manny is gonna make the Dodgers worse than they already are. Yeah, the same Manny that has owned the Angels in the post-season...
I would bat Kemp in front of Manny so he can see better pitches...
Actually, this is the lineup I wouldn't mind seeing (if Garciaparra stays healthy)
Ethier RF
Loney 1B
Kemp CF
Ramirez LF
Martin C
Kent 2B
Blake 3B
Garciaparra SS
P
These pitchers from the NL West will eat that lineup up!! Where is the left handed stick in the middle of the Dodger lineup? That lineup looks great vs a LHP (not last night). Take a look at the best teams in the MLB. They all have (with the exception of the Cubs) big LHH bats in the middle of their lineups.
I'm aware that if Furcal was healthy and playing at the top of the lineup, Loney or Ethier could bat anywhere from 3-6. A balanced lineup of LHH and RHH is ideal in most winning teams.
And I think we'll be seeing a lot more GIDPs from the right handed heavy Dodger lineup in the last two months of the season. Especially if Furcal and Pierre are not playing. Station to station baseball will create lots of 2 and 3 run HRs for Manny, but also lots of GIDP, like we saw last night.
I'm just playing devils advocate. I do think it's great that we got Manny for almost nothing. But I sure don't think it guarantees the Dodgers a playoff spot.
Nomar is nearing 100% and will start as soon as he can be activated.
Furcal was with the team today in the clubhouse and said that his rehab is going very smoothly. He's not sore waking up like he was after he got hurt. He thinks he'll be ready by the time rosters expand, if not sooner. But that's the date he's planning.

Great News!
