O. Hudson apparently injured during the game. Now, if he could only be hurt long enough to prevent us from hearing "O Dawg" when the DBacks and Dodgers hook up at the end of the month...
Looks like he's swinging the way Kemp was with RISP earlier in the season... trying to bring them in instead of just trying to get himself on base.
Russ did that very early in the season, too. Hopefully it's not fatigue this time and only a case of him trying to do too much.
One thing Russ does that's smart is that he gets out of the way when there's a play at the plate. He either tags and rolls or he swipes while blocking but he rarely leaves himself vulnerable. As a catcher myself from little league to High School, I really like what he does in those plays. I also can admire the fact that he understands he's as valuable a player to his team as there is in the league and he does what he can to avoid a collision or a play that could hurt him. There's no ego on that kid.
Yet again, on a night when they have the opportunity to take sole-possession of first place because the D-Bags are, yet again, getting their asses handed to them in Atlanta.
