They only have two gimme series (San Francisco and Washington) left in August, with the rest of the calendar filled by Philly (seven games), Milwaukee, St. Louis and Arizona.
Dodgers are ranked 14th, haven't been ranked this high since May 27th. However, from the looks of that quote, the rest of this month doesn't look promising. Meanwhile, the D-backs play 6 against San Diego, 4 against Atlanta, 3 each against Colorado, Houston, Florida and the Dodgers.

Yea, good news. Johnson is just isn't a major league starting pitcher.

Scott Proctor was prevented from pitching in a minor league game because of discomfort in his elbow. Proctor, who was moved to the disabled list June 25 because of tendinitis in his elbow, will be shut down for at least seven days.
Proctor threw 24 pitches in two-thirds of an inning for Class-A Inland Empire and complained of soreness the next day.
Proctor was never good while he was here. But it is concerning to see both he and Proctor have tendinitis knowing the load they've put on their arms the past few years. You could say the same for Johan & Zito and obviously Schmidt.
You are absolutely right, it has been only 4 games. I like Loney and I like him alot but I dont know if he is in the right place in the order. He is up there with no confidence at all and hits into 2 double plays....I may be frustrated but the Dodgers inability to do anything right.

Eesh. I'm not touching that one... Well, maybe just a little. Loney has highest AVG on team with .299 and leads team with 62 RBI. The Dodgers' inability to do anything right has them with the best record since mid-June in all of baseball.
I would say confidence is not a problem for Loney and The Dodgers only inability so far is not being able to string together 5-6 game winning streaks on a consistent basis. So, what? Who does?
Kid threw a 2-hitter against Dbacks to a 2-0 win.
