Year after year I go to WHL games trying to find the next good to great player that may don a Los Angeles King's uniform. Some have made it and still others are on the way. Next years crop looks to be a bumper one where the Kings will have a number of kicks at the cat in the first three rounds. Have identified that the King's need a Forward(probably a centre) that has toughness as well talent and skills to ultimately play on the top two lines. With the second pick if a forward has been choosen we could take a puckrushing D-man or defensive mauler. And with the other picks we could just take the best players available. A name that keeps propping up is Kyle Beach who is one of the most sought after forwards after Steven Stamkos and John Tavares around. Beach would give the Kings toughness that they have lacked since ADeadmarsh retired prematurely. Not only is Beach tough he can score and plays the PP,PK and pretty much anything else there is to have done. He would be a helluva addition to the Kings line up that has dynasty written all over... On defense there looks to be ton of great-good prospects on the horizon. Names like Alex Pietrangelo,Tyler Myers,Michael Del Zotto.Yann Sauve, Luke Schenn,Colten Teubert,Johan Motin,AVoinov,MChudinov, have been mentioned most often. Here the Kings have to rectify the drafting of another puckrusher(not THickey) since it looks like we pulled another Wayne McBean out of our asses. Unless Hickey does a complete turn around and puts on huge amounts of muscle and speed he'll be a 5-7 D-man. A player I think has a good chance to be drafted high(in the first round) is Lethbridge Hurricane's D-man Luca Sbisa he of Italian decent but a Swiss born player. He has good to great wheels and a ever expanding offensive game to go with a improving defensive game. He plays in all situations and should by all accounts be their top D-man by seasons end... Though the draft of 2008 is a long ways off the preparation is a work in progress and one always has to have their eyes open and paying attention because you never know when the next Dave Taylor,Luc Robitaille,Rob Blake are coming from...For now I'll be looking and reporting ...
LOOOOL!! I heart PuckMonkey. BTW, if you are still looking for those X patterns, just take a photo of something ortogonal from a side. It's a perfect X and there are many of them around.
Cemeteries are great for photographers.
