I am visiting my parents up in the Moorpark/Simi/Thousand Oaks area this week. They do not get Versus! I have to get my playoff fix. Anyone know any hockey bars or good sports bars in the areas that will actually show the games (instead of just baseball and basketball)??? If they have sound up even better! Thanks guys...
Stuft Pizza in Thousand Oaks, off of Moorpark Road behind Mimi's cafe. It's actually located on the Southeast corner of Moorpark Rd. and Brazil. They do have Versus and they have games going all the time. The owner is a big hockey fan.
Yankee Doodle's in Simi Valley has Center Ice and Versus. You can give them a call before you go to make sure they'll have it on by the time you get there.

Thanks... I didn't think about Yankee Doodles. I will try them, but I like the fact that Stuft Pizza is run by a hockey fan, so I think I will have to hit there as well.

Yankee Doodle's generally doesn't have the sound on. However, if they put the game on one of the TVs behind the bar, you can ask for a speaker box that you can tune to the number of the TV to get the sound for that game. I've never had a problem getting hockey, baseball or even NASCAR on there.
They have a listing behind the bar of each game and what channel it's on. But it tends to make things a little quicker if you know the channel number ahead of time. For games on Versus, it's Channel 603. For games on Fox Sports West or Prime Ticket, it's 652 and 653 respectively.

Well, there ya go. You should be golden with that guy, then.

I've had experiences with some "hand holding" dealing with some of the broads behind the bar. Overall, a decent time is had watching puck there.
