What happenjed to the Senators?

Seriously, what the hell happened to the Senators? Is it management, coaching or the players? Considering how long it took to build a respectable team in Ottawa it sure seems like the Sens are on the road to complete self destruction.

I know there was turmoil running amok with the whole Emery situation but is that the root cause?

For how good this team looked at the beginning of the season; they look totally spazzoidial at this point of the season. Honestly...on occasion I've seen the Kings play better positionally this season. It looks as if the wheels have completely fallen off.

I'm not going to write them off yet, but I seriously doubt they will make any noise in the playoffs.

Delayed Cup hangover...too many passive leaders...bad coaching choice...Battlin' Ray Emery...too much scrutiny from the Canadian media...A fast start that gave them a false sense of security. That's a lot to deal with. The fact that Ottawa has been consistently good enough every year to have most people labeling them as front-runners + the fact that they have consistently under-acheived in the post-season has just finally seemed to have caught up with them. They don't seem to have any dynamic personalities to turn things around...Alfredsson is a great player, but not a good captain.
