Sharks / Stars and no HD 2nite. I know golf is more popular than hockey and that's why the golf is in HD but couldn't they have put the VS feed on the NHL Channel or not make it exclusive and let the locals have it and air it in HD w/ out a black out?

Sorry Gary who are you fooling when you tell everyone the NHL is alive and well and doing strong business? Maybe he really believes it.

The US hates hockey.

So we're lucky to see the game? Hmm I think I paid about 4165 to see the game on Center Ice at the very least.

I know I complain about the NHL more than I praise the NHL, but anyone who thinks the league is doing well is fooling them self..

I called DirecTV about it and they said that the reason is that the Golf channel paid to have golf in HD and VS did not pay to have the hockey game broadcasted in HD.

its not the nhl's fault. its comcast, they chose to combine vs and golf hd in one channel, golf on the weekend, versus on weekdays for the most part. if comcast really cared then they would separate the channels, but clearly they doesn't think versus is worth it

Amazing...Be glad you even get to see the game at all.

I've been purchasing the Center Ice package for years and have yet to see any play-off games past the first round on any of their feeds.

I refuse to pay extra money to get a channel as useless as VS just to see hockey games. And I have yet to see the NHL Channel...I don't get that either.

I wonder why it seems like I lose more interest in the game every year.
