- His wife is couple months away from giving birth
- If he was not going to play why didn't he say this earlier rather than have all the fans vote for him. Basically he wanted the votes
- He will not always be an all star as it's not always guaranteed but he will lose votes next year because of this
- He is a public sports figure and it is a slap to the Canucks fans faces.
- He's a pussy!

If his wife is giving birth very close to the ALL-STAR GAME, then that's fine with me. But to skip the all-star game just to be with her? Not only that, but to miss one regular season game as well?
That's weak stuff. You're a professional athlete, you're paid to do this. If you want to spend time with your wife, do that in the off-season. Do it when she gives birth sometime in April. But not in freaking late January.

If Luongo's wife is not due around the All Star game then he's a douche for skipping out. **** that "for his wife" ****. He's a professional athlete and she knew the score going into a marraige with him. If they feel so adamant about being together in the last trimester of a pregnancy maybe they should have conceived in September instead. Friggen retards.
