4.5/year could be a bargain if he regains form. You have to remember what this guys has accomplished in the past. He actually looked pretty damn good for Colorado, a team which was not very tight defensively. If he can play to his abilities this will work out very well for the Caps, if he plays like the goalie that had a GAA near 3, then the Caps are screwing themselves. This will be one interesting signing.

My guess is Huet wanted more.
