Because we already have a good number of draft picks. Not to mention we need our cap room to re-sign the RFAs we have this year, extend Kopitar and Johnson, and have some room left over to possibly bring in one or two big name UFAs next off season.
Word out on the blogs is that Jokinen and Ouellet are going to be shipped out of town for a bag of pucks.
Why would you sign Gary Roberts for $2mill+ and ship those two for a bag of pucks.
I understand the importance of leadership and role model, but come on.
