Vancouver Canucks - News: Canucks Acquire Forward Steve Bernier - 07/04/2008
that didn't last long.
i find it funny on the tsn page, how they show a picture of a black football player and under it, it says Steve Bernier....
i remember Bernier was supposed to be a stud for the sharks, then got traded twice in less than half a year.

yeah, 4 months ago... you would THINK that would've been a BIG f***ing flare directly over that moron Gillis' head.
rumor has it that he has a terrible work ethic and showed up in Buffalo in poor shape. the Sabres were clearly NOT very happy with this guy.
And he is an RFA is he not? Received a qualifying offer from Buffalo but has not signed it to my knowledge. Wonder if he was going to select arbitration?

Worth ethic has always been the problem with this guy. Still I don't think it's a great move by the Sabres. He was the centerpiece in that Campbell deal. Hard to give up on a 23 year old with that much skill and size. I would have liked to see what he would have done with a full year with Lindy Ruff.
But clearly he must have worn out his welcome in a hurry.
