Imagine NHL referee Mick McGeough being fired and facing criminal charges after admitting that he gave gamblers inside information on games, made calls to influence the outcome of games, and gambled himself on games, oh and then McGeough would then go on to tell authorities that some of his fellow referees made calls to affect playoff series to make them last longer at the instruction of the league.
How about imagining Brian Burke being sued for sexual harrassment for hitting on a former Ducks employee and that employee being paid $11.6M by the Ducks.
Imagine Brendan Morrow admitting in a radio interview that, yes, in the off-season, he does smoke marijuana from time to time.
Imagine Alexander Ovechkin being caught on camera singing a song in a karaoke club inviting Sydney Crosby to quote "tell me how my ass tastes".
...and imagine Zach Boychuk being selected by the Carolina Hurricanes, then traded to the Washington Capitals, then traded to the Minnesota Wild, then finally traded to the Phoenix Coyotes, all on draft day.
This actually happened this past year. Just take all the names out and replace them with people from the NBA.
