CBC's Scott Morrison reported on Hockey Night In Canada that talks have broken off between Rangers GM Glen Sather and Sean Avery and his reps in regards to an extension. The word is that Avery will now test out the FA market before re-signing with The Rangers.
With The Kings in need of some more grit in their lineup, Sean would make a fantastic re-addition for The Kings next year as they gear up for their big playoff run finally! I sure hope to see him wearing Kings' Black and PURPLE again! WWAD!?!
I agree we need a guy LIKE Avery. I don't think we need Avery. We more of a Lappy type circa 2000 he was smart about being a pest and didn't take as many or as bad penalties. Maybe we need to make a home grown version
So I searched for a thread about this and found one. AKA no duplicate or merged threads.
I saw this thread over at HF and I thought it might be interesting to see what the Rangers fans thought of Avery rather than one or two here to include a Devils fan.
Avery needs to stay a Ranger. It's the best fit for him. I'd love to see him back in a Kings sweater, but TOO many people think they've got an inside track on all things Avery. Pronger doesn't get as much hate over here as Avery does.
