The Toronto Star reports that ESPN hockey analyst and former Los Angeles Kings head coach Barry Melrose is set to return behind the bench for the Tampa Bay Lightning.
Melrose, who coached the Kings to the 1993 Stanley Cup Final, would replace John Tortorella, who still holds the post.

Nope . . . not in today's NHL. Perhaps if the Lightning were able to make a lopsided trade for Crosby, and then acquire about a half-dozen other future Hall of Famers, then maybe.
As usual, I'm in the minority here. I think Melrose will do a great job.
I don't know why all the negative responses to his returning to coaching.
I was a huge fan of his when he coached the Kings and will be rooting for him, wherever he coaches.
As was said my someone before, Nolan's return wasn't well received and he's doing just fine.
I'd be happy for either of those 2 to coach the Kings now.
