John Stevens on Steve Downie screwing up again : "We know Steve is a big game player..."

WHAT?!?!? Only thing Downie is good for is getting suspended and turning the puck over to Malkin.

Same thing folks asked in 2001 about the Red Wings losing to the Kings in 6, but then it was Yzerman and Shanahan.

you know all these people make comparisons about the kings being the next penguins and whatever...but i dont think the kings have the top-end talent of crosby, malkin, and staal. perhaps bernier can be as solid as fleury has been, but i know for damn sure kopitar isnt malkin or crosby..and i'm not dissing kopitar..he's great...just not at the level of these two...and quite frankly no one else on the kings is at the level of kopitar...so you do the math...

of course, i still have faith and believe this team will be good, just not as quickly as the pens have become in the past two years...sigh...

I don't think you should be using Staal in the same sentence with Crosby & Malkin when you're talking about top-end talent.

He had a decent rookie season scoring 29 goals, but has cooled considerably since then.
