About This Page: This is a discussion on NHL Talk within the LetsGoKings.com forums, at Los Angeles Kings Hockey Fan Forum. I own a Ducks jersey, but it's not personalized.
I was so happy when he was traded from the leafs to a team where he will be required to beat the leafs on a regular basis.
seriously, kid is gonna be good.
nevermind the fact that Boston has the sweetest RBK jerseys in the league.
I hate Boston with a passion though. Not so much the Bruins but the Red Sox, Celtic and Patriots. I don't think I could ever bring myself ot wear a Bruins sweater as a result.
I own three Gerber 29 jerseys. One is the red Suisse model from the '02 Olympics, while another is from the SCL Tigers, his first professional club in i.e. Langnau, Switzerland. The third is a black mesh practice Mighty Ducks jersey that's absolutely freakin' huge: a size XXL. Also included in that collection is a red Carolina Hurricanes kids' T-shirt, size XL -- a respectable size for an adult woman who's 5'9" -- with my favorite's name and number screen-printed on the back. (Do I dislike those teams? No. I give 'em props for having the sense to have Gerbs on their rosters for at least a season.)
In about a month, I'll take my white replica Ottawa Senators jersey to HockeyGiant, a well-stocked hockey-supplies shop in Anaheim, and have -- you guessed it -- Gerber 29 embroidered on the back.
(How could I forget? My better half gave me a Boston Bruins Lapointe 22 jersey for Christmas '02 and signed by Lapointe in February '06. If I ever wanted to sell it, it won't fetch much. But who cares? I like it, and I'm planning on keeping it.)

The only true standout for me is a NYR Robitaille jersey which I own for obvious reasons. I loathe NYR but Luc's the man and it was suprisingly only $40 brand new. I could have gotten that sucker for free too but I'm too honest. I got it on EBay in maybe 99, before Paypal was around, so I paid with a check. The guy asked for me to send him my address at the end of the auction so I did so. The jersey got to my house before I had even sent the check out, haha. I sent out the check the next day but I sure didn't have to.
I have an authentic Robitaille Penguins home jersey and was about to acquire a Rangers jersey with his name and number until he came back to L.A. Back in '02, I remember being asked if I was going to get a Red Wings jersey with Lucky's name and number.
I said "Hell no!"

I can definitely appreciate that a lot of you admire players from other teams ect. I too appreciate the talent of those like AO, SC, and the list goes on. Personally I would rather spend my hard earned money on the colors of my team. That's just me!

Thomas Vokoun, Florida (outside shot on this one)
I wanted Luongo/Vancouver sweater, but I cant bring myself to get a VAN jersey.
Yeah. You own any jerseys where your feelings for the particular player trumped your feelings about the team?
yep. I own a L.A. Lappy sweater. Love the player, hate the team.
