I think it's because nobody was really surprised by the fact that the Rags suck...I would have to guess Lundquist was in net...the only thing that brings me more joy than watching the Rags flounder is watching the meltdown that is...The Philadelphia Failures...I feel ya Goallum...glad you gave me a forum for my Ranger bashing...Cheers'N'Beers to ya bro
Ya think they've already come up with a cool-sounding name for that's on par with the Royal Rebound? The Separatist Stampede, or something along those lines?
la débandade des habitants, goallum?
that was an absolutely awesome game. i thought the rags had it in the bag but nooooo... i didn't really care who won since you know i totally avery... but i huet also and the game was so exciting. i was surprised no one started a thread either, but hey, you started it and you get the "thanks"!!!

and Carey Price was yanked after the third goal, no?

he was indeed. i have an appreciation for price, but i like huet better so it gave me a reason to root for the habs once they switched goaltenders... i'm just surprised the rangers got so passive in the 2nd half of the game. renney called a timeout after the first 2 goals, but it didn't really help.
*edit: oh ya and it was REALLY funny when habs fans got angry because of a call on komisarek. they ended up throwing the night's giveaway--go habs go roll-up signs--onto the ice so they had to take time out and pick up all the signs and empty beer cups. the crowd also chanted "b.s." over and over once play resumed. i would've thought they'd have chanted it in french. "quelle connerie!" then when the habs tied it 5-5, the entire arena gave them a standing ovation. i think the comeback had a little to a lot to do with the passionate crowd.

As much as most people want to hate on french canadiens (or anything french for that matter), they do have the best taste when it comes to hockey. They are always demanding of entertaining and stylish hockey win or lose. One thing in particular I love about Les Habitants is their sweet sweet powerplay, and how could you not root for guys like Higgins, Ryder and the Kostistyn brothers?
