As much as we all want to be Kings homers, Montreal outplayed Los Angeles after Marty went in the box, and again I'm not blaming Marty for the series. It might also be a good idea to watch the Habs during their entire playoff run where they DOMINATED pretty much everybody and went unbeaten for like 12 games. Montreal plays with class, Kings hockey, not so much...

i don't know if 11 or 12 overtime games (out of 20) constitutes dominating over anyone... they did win 11 in a row which was pretty remarkable.
trailing in game 2 at home, after having their ass handed to them in game one, then calling for the stick measurement is hardly a class move... it was a shrewd, calculating and nasty hockey move.
they also got a nice bounce when the Islanders came out of nowhere to beat the two-time defending champ, Pittsburgh Penguins in the overtime of the 7th game.

All that team was, was just an average squad backstopped by an increddible goalie.
As much as most people want to hate on french canadiens (or anything french for that matter), they do have the best taste when it comes to hockey. They are always demanding of entertaining and stylish hockey win or lose.

I beg to differ, go back and watch that series and you'll see that Montreal played better hockey. Needless to say the stick measuring move was pretty damn weak...

Still wish the Kings would have won the cup.
The Kings were pretty average too, so Montreal being better than the Kings is not really an indication of them being a juggernaut, IMO. As far as I'm concerned, the defining moment of that series is not the stick measurement, or LeClaire's OT goals... it's Patty Whaaah's wink at Sandstrom.
oh ya and my love of goalies (and why i even picked that position in the 1st place) began with waaaaahhh and has continued with huet. despite '93, i have a real soft spot for the habs.
