The slumping Philadelphia Flyers got more bad news on Wednesday, as the team learned that they will be without winger Simon Gagne for the rest of the season.
Flyers general manager Paul Holmgren told The Philadelphia Inquirer Wednesday that the veteran forward was seen by concussion specialist James Kelly in Denver and was told to stop playing for the remainder of the 2007-08 campaign.
Lindros. Primeau. Therrien. All Flyers. They don't handle concussions very well.
Speaking of Therrien, he just reported on NHL on the fly that the Flyers could be pulling the trigger on getting Richards out of the Lightning(He and Therrien share the same agent), with Carter+ going the other way. (Gagne being out for the year frees up quite a bit of cap room.)
